Reatile

In 2006 Reatile Gaz (Pty) Limited was founded as a division of Reatile Energy and from this small beginning, Reatile Gaz has grown dramatically with highlights being the purchase of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) business of Air Products in 2007 and the acquisition of Engen's LPG business in 2010. In January 2010 Reatile Gaz opened the Germiston LPG Depot and within the same year Reatile Energy purchased 25% of Egoli Gas, enabling the group to find further synergies in terms of the business going forward. In 2011 the Blackheath LPG Depot was opened in Cape Town, with further expansion opportunities being explored in other major industrial hubs nationally. Today, the company is proudly regarded as a major supplier of LPG within Southern Africa.

Our Brand
Reatile Gaz has proudly established its own brand and positioning in the marketplace.

Our Logo
The logo was designed without losing focus on the association with the mother company Reatile Group. Still keeping within realms of Reatile and what it stands for.  The new logo is fresh and exciting with the blue representing clean air and a clean planet (blue sky) and the yellow growing flame representing growth (Reatile when translated means “we are growing”).  The flame which reflects the company’s energy, is encapsulated by the blue (sky) and this symbolises clean air  that it is protected and surrounded by safety.

Our Staff
In order to realize the vision, members of the Reatile Gaz management team are all able to draw on their significant experience in both the industry and the corporate sectors. In line with our stated objectives of service to the customer, Reatile Gaz “hand-picked” its management team for their expertise within the LPG and related sectors with the General Manager, the National Sales and Marketing Manager and the Business Development Manager, between them, having over 65 years of experience in the LPG market in Southern Africa.

The Reatile Group
The Reatile Group (Pty) Ltd is a BEE investment company and was founded by Simphiwe Mehlomakulu, Leven Moodley and Sizwe Hopa with investments in the Energy, Mining, Paper, Chemicals and Trading sectors of the South African Economy.

All three founding members are still actively involved in the day to day management of the group. The Directors control 65% of The Reatile Group shares and the remainder of the shares is owned by Standard Bank. The detail of this is described on the Reatile web site: www.reatile.co.za
